On Saturday, 27 June 2026 GCARS held its AGM. There were 18 financial members in attendance. We started the day with coffee and donuts and held a sausage sizzle after the AGM.

Our president, Aidan, VK4APM opened the meeting with a detailed report on where the club was a year ago and where we are today. All very positive. Also, we learned about future projects and ideas that will keep the club going for years to come.

We got detailed reports from Secretary Ashley, VK4DRA, and Treasurer Matt, VK4TRK.

Next: We set the new committee for the next 12-months. Staying as our president is Aidan, VK4APM, Staying as Secretary is Ashley, VK4DRA, New Treasurer is Mike, VK4MCF. There was a runoff vote for the remaining committee members: Returning is Mark, VK4DMH, Matt VK4TRK and Ken, VK2KEN. Jeremy, VK4JKR, is our new committee member.

Changes to the constitution were voted in. The meeting was adjourned and the BBQ was fired up for some great sausages! Lots of members chatted the afternoon away, some worked on some projects. All in all is was a great club day and perfect AGM.
