The Memorial Service on June 11th 2025 for GCARS Life Member Peter Stevens, known to many as VK4BT, also as VK4KTX. Peter went Silent Key (passed away) a few weeks back after a short period in ICU. It was a well attended funeral service with around 90 people in the chapel. Peter was so well known and respected in the Amateur Radio world, always willing to help others with his vast knowledge on radios and antennas. There were around 40+ AR’s that attended and many hundreds more would have been watching the live stream broadcast. Reg VK2MNM gave a eulogy on behalf of the AR’s, highlighting Peter’s long association with AR and the many friends he had locally, Australia wide and around the world. RIP my friend, QSL that you are QRT (acknowledge you have stop transmitting) … 73’s for now.
