________________________________________ CW / MORSE GROUP The GCARS CW Group met on 16 February 2013 at the clubhouse and since then Paul VK4GQ has been making regular transmissions at 6am local on the 146.700MHz repeater. All are welcome that have an interest in this part of the hobby and it is planned to have further meetings at the clubhouse to enable members to have practice sending to each other. We have had a very good response and have approximately 17 members and friends interested. An email has been sent out and final figures will be given to the organisers on site and we will advise how many people can be accommodated, for each visit.

The Society welcomes new members, whether already certificated Radio Amateurs, or those wishing to get into the hobby.
The Society runs classes to prepare would-be amateurs and also holds examinations conducted under the auspices of the Wireless Institute of Australia.
The Society has been responsible in recent years for inducting more people into the hobby than any other organisation in Australia.
